Also need to work on planning us a raid somewhere. Not sure where though since I still haven't gotten Red past 30...might wind up being somewhere more for fun than exp. And well theres always loot we could go for hehe.

Wednesday September, 13th

Greetings Lords and Ladies,

Finally done with the big move, and other than having my desk broken by the movers everything is ok...annoying to have to sit my pc on the floor though.

Anyhow, I have a few things to cover. First off is that I was supposed to be announcing the wedding of Morlin and Brenna for this Saturday...but I've recieved word that Morlin has left us? Mor if you read this let us know what the deal is ok?

Secondly, I want everybody to check the members list on the webpage and let me know if I have everybodies levels and info up to date. Also if you have any alternate characters not listed let me know about them too.

Lastly our next oficial guild meet is scheduled for this Saturday, the 16th to be in Permafrost....tentively scheduled for 11pm est. Let me know how good a time that is for everybody. Also dependant on travel times since Perma is a good bit away from any teleport locations. As always check out http://www.eqatlas.com/ for maps if you need them.

Thats it for now...good journey all,

Redfaern

Thursday August, 11th.

Hail again Knights,

Just a few notes tonight, first off...we finally have our first gnome in the guild.  Now all we need is a troll to have all the races covered.

Ok, well Jiru emailed us some good points about runnyeye...but I think that if we have enough of us and move down and clear areas as a united group we should be ok.  We should keep put everybodies standard chat mode on guild so that way communication will be easier and we can assist each other as need be.  If we don't have many able to come, then we can go ahead and move next door to the beholders maze and work there.  Tolen and I tried our luck in Runnyeye earlier, while we didn't die...we did start us up a bigger train than just the two of us could handle.  So if we all go in with a plan and some really big sticks...we should do fairly ok,  and as a reminder everybody that plans on coming, go to http://www.eqatlas.com/ and print out some maps of runnyeye..and the gorge of king xxorb (beholders maze) too...just to be safe.  Everybody try to get a bind in rivervale ahead of time...or for you casters, probably best to bind in the misty thicket just inside the entrance to runnyeye...but before you zone in.

Thats it for tonight,

Wednesday August, 10th.

Hail again Knights,

Ok, so it didn't take long but I've got my EQ fire lit back under me...after single handedly derailing a train in Blackburrow (one that killed me so many times in the past) and getting my first piece of quest armor I've regained my love of the game.

As of this point, for this Saturdays Guild meet.....we've got one vote against Befallen, and 2 votes for Runnyeye....so unless you people throw a lot of votes my way before Friday...we're aiming for Runnyeye this time.  As I said in my email last night, please everyone go to http://www.eqatlas.com/  and print yourselves out the maps of runnyeye, and possibly even the surrounding zones.  For those of you that don't know, Runnyeye is mainly goblins, and the only major threat of death most of us may face is the Evil Eye...but with teamwork, or at least keeping the goblins off of Loathing, we should be able to take it down.  Theres some decent loot there including Blackened Iron armor and swords.

Until next time Knights,

Redfaern

Tuesday August, 8th.

Hail Knights,

Everyones fearless leader here...well ok, can't exactly call me fearless. Had a single bandit attack me in WK saturday night...he was greener than green, wouldn't have gotten a thing out of killing him....there I was at full health and mana, with all my buffs up...and I got the living crap beat out of me...if I hadn't been SOW'ed and ran for my life I'd have surely died. So there goes fearless right out the window...did I mention he was green?

Anyhow....this is my first group mailing since our little debacle saturday night that we called a guild meeting. To say things didn't go well for most of us would be an understatement. I understand a few of us have thrown the blame towards Damdor, since going to Unrest was his idea....I kinda thought that way initially myself. But the blame only needs to lie in one place, and that would be with me. I should've done a better job of leading us. Not let us into an area that the majority of us (including myself) had never been into. I should've scouted it out ahead of time to see if we could've taken it...should've checked more into the cauldron too so we could've avoided the paladin camp that got Brack on the way there. Should've kept us together as a unit from the get go...instead of breaking us up into groups with non guild folks. So many should'ves.....I turned into Ghorman when we needed me to be Ripley. I hope that future events work out a bit better for everybody involved, and that everybody has managed to make up for what they lost the other night.

Next point of business, all officers...please please please, when you invite somebody in to the guild...make sure you send me their Name, race, class, level, and email address. I want to make sure we have a totally up to date roster.

Final note for the evening. I'm sure some of you more attentive types have noticed I haven't been on since saturday night. At this point I'm thinking over the questionable enjoyment I get out of the game. Right now the loyalty I feel towards you guys is all thats keeping me wanting to play. I really don't want to have got you all organized and then bail out on you. But I've come to the conclusion this game has some serious issues. Grouping should be something that is done for fun and to make certain things easier....not a necessity. Of course a lot of this is stemming from the fact I mentioned earlier...did I mention he was green? If something cons to you as reasonably safe...then it damn well should be reasonably safe. I started playing this game to be a fantasy hero....like I always was in D&D. But having to run from a single bandit? One thats unarmed no less....hows that supposed to make me feel heroic? I want to face overwhelming odds and manage to win the day....not face mediocre odds and get my butt handed to me. Geez I can walk downtown and pull that off, who needs a video game? Anyhow...maybe I'm just ranting. Going to the store tomorrow to see if I can find a game that calls out to me. Don't give up the faith though....I haven't left yet.

Until later knights,

Friday August, 4th.

Hail fellow Knights,

Things seem to be going fairly well now, outside of me getting bashed by giants a lot recently.  We're tentatively planning a guild event for this weekend.  Since its on short notice its going to be sort of unofficial and I don't expect everybody to be there...but if you can, please by all means come.  I'm going to go with the time we used last weekend for our meeting, since it worked fairly well and we all managed to be there.  Damdor has suggested doing it in Unrest which is ok by me...a little something of all levels there so we can all accomplish something hopefully.  So if you want to join in, start heading over to faydwer a bit early so we can get everybody grouped together and organized fairly quickly so that we can get to hunting all that faster.   We'll have somebody (we have enough magicians anyhow) providing binds for everybody at the zone border of Greater Faydark, that way in case of the worst you've just got to come through the edge of butcherblock and dagnors cauldron to get back to your body.  So lets say this in big bold letters again to get the point across :)

Guild Event:  Saturday, August 5th...8pm est.....in Unrest.

Thats all for now, as always send comments and ideas.

Thursday August, 3rd.

Hail fellow Knights,

Well we're finally up and running now, GM made our guild status official and the invitations have begun.  Bedorm and I got everybody that was on at the time invited in.  If you haven't been yet, look for me, Bed, or Alexandre to let you in.  Also, check the members page here on the site to make sure I have everybodies information right...I want to keep levels and all up to date as possible to reflect the current strength of the guild.

Everybody feel free to send in any screenshots you have, be they funny, cool looking, or just what have you.  If anybody wants to work up character profiles for themselves I'll be glad to make a page with it and link it from your name on the members page.  Send in your item haves/wants too...and pretty much anything else you'd like me to put up here on the page that would be interesting or useful.

Still waiting to hear back from everybody as to if we should have our first reunited guild event this weekend or next...as well as ideas on where to have it.  Need your inputs here people :)

Until next time...as always any comments, suggestions, or good recipies involving gnomes are always welcome.

Tuesday August, 1st.

Well the hard part of things this past Saturday went down pretty easy.  Until the unexpected taking down of the servers at 8:30...and I got booted just as a GM was asking me if I needed help too *sigh*

Anyhow, the first part of the guild has been approved, and now I just need to meet with a GM in game to finish up the procedures.  I asked a guide when he'd be on and was told that Saviente was off for a couple of days and would be back Wednesday...so I'm going to hopefully meet up with him then and get things going.  Then its a lot of running around for me to invite everybody...hopefully Bed will be nice and hook me up with some SOW :)

I was thinking that we could have our first re-united guild event either this coming weekend or the next....and possibly make it a squire recruitment event at the same time.   Also taking ideas on where the first event should be...should we follow the Knightly pattern and take out the vile orcs of Crushbone once again?  Or somewhere else?  Befallen maybe?  You name it and we'll see what place gets the most votes and go there...and maybe wherever comes in second can be for the next event.

Also start sending me any good screenshots you might happen to have taken...I've got a couple of good ones to put up.  Also if you do a screenshot of your characters I'll link it on the members page like I've done with Red.

Don't forget about our haves/wants page....be sure to email me with anything that you'd like to be posted on there.  Maybe one of us has what you're looking for.

Until next time,

Thursday July, 27th.

This just in from the home office in West Freeport, Antonica.....

Hello fellow Knights, this is for everybody that so far hasn't been included in our emails (if not, email me and let me know who you are)  and to those of you that just felt like checking out the page and reading another version of what you already know.  Its pretty much unanimous so far in thinking that we're going to have to go ahead and reform a new guild from scratch.  We've got two leading names right now....those being the Last Knights or the Crimson Knights.  That would be the extent of our in game guild tag that goes after our name...although to each other and here on the web page we'd either be known as the Last Knights of Menalaous or the Crimson Knights of Menalaous.  Saves me from having to change quite so much text here on the page...wink, wink, nudge, nudge :)

We've also set a tentative date and time for us all to be online so that we can go through the guild approval process.  I'm going to put this in really big bold words here so that nobody misses it :)

Guild Meeting: Saturday July 29th...8pm est

Be there or be square....seriously if you'll be unable to be on at that time please email me as soon as you can so that we can try to reschedule...but we need at least 10 of us to be on at that time to go through the approval process.  And as always feel free to email me with comments or suggestions....this is a group thing after all :)

Good journey till we meet again,

Wednesday July, 26th.

Greetings again friends and fellow Knights,

Yesterday I was able to speak and hear from a few of us about the situation we find ourselves in.  There are a good number of us that don't want the Knights to die, and we're going to do everything we can to keep us together as best we can and regain our strength.  I'm going to speak to a GM (when I can find one on anyhow) to see if we can keep the regular Knights of Menalaous name.  But without hearing from Aenolyn and getting his approval I have my doubts of this being able to happen.  If so, and we do have to start from scratch...the general consensus so far is to add something to the name...such as the Lost Knights of Menalaous or something similar.  There has also been talk of the group voting on our leader instead of the idea I proposed earlier.  This is fine with me, I have no overwhelming desire to lead...but I realize that whoever we do decide on needs to be willing to put forth the time and effort it takes to keep this guild unified and organized.  Which is something that was lacking before....if we decide to follow my idea of Bedorm and I co-leading then thats great...we'll do all we can to make this guild as strong as I know it can be.  If we decide on someone else then I'll do all I can to support them, through this webpage and whatever other means I can.  But they had best be willing to put effort into it...because I'm not afraid to start a mutiny if I see things slipping away like they did before :)   That and I just long for the chance to yell...."Arrr...lets keel-haul the scurvy dawg!!!  Arrrr...where be me pecan pie matey?"

Anyhow, I'll keep you all updated and informed as to how things and plans go.

Good Journey,
